Former Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille midfielder Modeste M'Bami has passed away at the age of 40.
L'Equipe report that the former Cameroon midfielder died of a heart-attack in Le Havre, where he lived, on Saturday.
M'Bami was a two-time Coupe de France winner with PSG and also won Olympic gold with his native Cameroon in 2000.
A defensive midfielder in his prime, M'Bami made 228 Ligue 1 Uber Eats appearances with CS Sedan Ardennes, PSG and Marseille, and returned to France with Le Havre in 2014 after spells in Spain, China and Colombia.
