Sergio Ramos will miss the Stade Rennais FC game with a calf injury, joining Paris Saint-Germain defenders Marquinhos, Presnel Kimpembe and Achraf Hakimi in the treatment room.

PSG may be 19 points better off than Rennes at the top of the table, but head coach Christophe Galtier will have a bit of thinking to do with his team selection on Sunday, especially with regard to his defence.

Ramos has been almost ever-present this season but has suffered a recurrence of the calf injury that kept him out for much of his maiden campaign in the French capital.

The Spaniard couldn't complete Thursday's training session due to an ankle injury picked up in a match with academy players, but it is the longer-term issue which he is being rested for this time.

Club captain Marquinhos has an intercostal tear and has been training individually, as has Hakimi. Further forward, Neymar Jr. remains sidelined after ankle surgery.
