Lille defender Sven Botman has been called up by the Netherlands to replace the injured Nathan Aké.
The 20-year-old defender only made his Under-21s debut this season and has been rewarded for an excellent start to the season with LOSC by a senior call-up. The big left-footer joined the northern French club from Ajax in the summer and hasn't missed a Ligue 1 minute, helping LOSC to second in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats table and to the top of their UEFA Europa League group.
Botman replaces the injured Aké in the squad for UEFA Nations League matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Poland. Centre-half is a problem position for the Dutch with Ake having joined Virgil Van Dijk on the sidelines.
