Four years on from the infamous Remontada, PSG will be out to hammer home their 4-1 first-leg advantage and book a place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals as they play host to FC Barcelona at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.

PSG are looking to put their Barcelona hoodoo definitively to bed as FC Barcelona come calling at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday. Despite having an even bigger advantage after a 4-0 first-leg at the Parc win four years ago, PSG went on to lose 6-1 to at the Nou Camp as Barça staged the biggest-ever comeback in the competition's history.

Times have changed since then, however, with PSG making it all the way to final in 2020, and now that they once again have a sizeable first-leg advantage - thanks in no small part to a stellar turn from hat-trick hero Kylian Mbappé - the capital club are looking to move on.

"The past is the past," said new PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino, former coach of Barça's city rivals Espanyol. "For me, it all started there, in January 2021. The only experience I have are the matches that have taken place since I arrived in Paris. I have no emotions linked to past experiences. For me, it's a match we're going all-out to win. We're going to play hard from the first minute.

Attacking line-up

With the exceptions of Neymar (groin) and Moise Kean (COVID), Pochettino has a full-strength squad to choose from and is tipped to stick with his 4-2-3-1 formation - with a fit-again Angel Di Maria on the right flank and Marco Verratti in the playmaking role that he has been making his own during Neymar's month-long absence.

Mbappé and Icardi will round out the attacking four while the first-choice pairing of captain Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe will marshal the defence, flanked by Thilo Keher and Layvin Kurzawa and shielded by Leandro Paredes and Idrissa Gueye.

Probable teams

Paris Saint-Germain: Navas; Kehrer, Marquinhos (c), Kimpembe, Kurzawa; Paredes, Gueye; Di Maria, Verratti, Mbappé; Icardi

FC Barcelona: Ter Stegen; Mingueza, Lenglet, Umtiti; Dest, De Jong, Busquets, Pedri, Alba; Messi, Dembélé
