AS Monaco will be looking to take their red-hot Ligue 1 Uber Eats form into the Coupe de France as they take on FC Metz - whom they beat 4-0 in the league on Saturday - for a place in the quarter-finals on Tuesday night.

Coupe de France, Round of 16

Stade Louis II, Monaco

AS Monaco - FC Metz

- Kick-off at 16:45 GMT

After seeing Metz off with goals from Cesc Fabregas, Kevin Volland and substitute Wissam Ben Yedder (x2), Niko Kovac's men are all set to do it again as they welcome the north-eastern club to the Stade Louis II for the second time in four days.

Kovac: 'Be as focused as possible'

"I don’t know how FC Metz will change things, if they will change something tactically," admit Monaco boss Niko Kovac. "It’s true that they’re a team that has shown great things this season, with a five-man defense. We won 4-0 in the league but it will not be easy, we will have to be as focused as possible to win this 'second round' against them and continue our journey in the Coupe de France."

Monaco were without influential young midfielder Aurélien Tchouameni for the league clash on Saturday, but the France U21 international has returned to training and is a chance to take the field against Metz.

Antonetti: 'We caused problems for Monaco'

Meanwhile Metz boss Frédéric Antonetti felt that the 4-0 scoreline worm the weekend wasn't indicative of how his side played.

"We caused problems for Monaco. There were a few things that went against us in the game. Afterwards, when people look at the score, they think we weren't in it but that's not the case," said the Corsican, who will be without captain John Boye, who saw red on Saturday, and injured defensive midfielder Kévin N'Doram (thigh). "What I wasn't satisfied with was that we didn't validate the good things we were doing. Sometimes through bad choices, through haste, through lack of presence. We have to improve in the last twenty metres, especially in terms of determination."
