The Stade Vélodrome has been a rock-solid fortress for Olympique de Marseille this season, as they boast an unbeaten record through 19 home games across various competitions, comprising 13 wins and six draws.

OM's home performance this season is now nearing historic heights for the club as it marks their longest unbeaten start to a season on home soil since 1998-99, when they went undefeated in all 24 home games.

After their 2-0 win over FC Nantes on Sunday, Marseille currently holds the top spot for home performance in Ligue 1 this season, with 29 points from 13 games played on their own pitch with one more home game than both Lille and Brest.

Les Phocéens have secured 74 percent of their total points playing at home, making them the top performers in Ligue 1 in this regard. Lille, who currently trailing behind OM in second place in the home table, have accumulated 64 percent of their points from matches played at home.

Even though OM underwent a coaching change last month, their performance at home hasn't been affected. Under the guidance of new manager Jean-Louis Gasset, the team has stepped up their game to another level.

Gasset is the first coach to win his first five matches in all competitions in charge of Marseille since Otto Gloria between February and March 1962.

In his five games in charge, Gasset is the manager with the highest number of goals scored per game in all competitions in OM's history (3.60) compared to an average of 1.54 under previous coach Genaro Gattuso.
