The 2023-24 Ligue 1 season has concluded, with 525 players having made appearances during the campaign, including 15 who played for two different clubs.

While many players made an appearance in Ligue 1 this season, Stade Brestois went the opposite way regarding this trend. Les Pirates are also the team that used the fewest different players (25), a formula that helped them form team chemistry and clinch an automatic UEFA Champions League spot for next season.

On the other hand, the relegated side FC Lorient went in the opposite direction of Brest, as they used a league-high 38 players, between a high turnover of players and new signings in the winter transfer window.

Shifting over to in-game changes, RC Lens (4.8 changes per game) and Le Havre AC (4.8 changes per game) surprisingly stood out for utilizing a minimal number of players despite making numerous adjustments throughout the game.

Paris Saint-Germain made the most alterations to their starting lineup between games (4.6), surpassing other teams by a significant margin. Olympique de Marseille (3.2) and RC Lens (3.1) were not far behind the Parisians.

A team favoring a youthful look, Toulouse FC lead Ligue 1 this season in fielding the youngest players on average, with their squad boasting an average age of 24 years and 48 days.

Despite having a young squad this campaign, Toulouse did not feature any players among the top five youngest in Ligue 1. The youngest player to make a league appearance this season was LOSC Lille standout Ayyoub Bouaddi at 16 years and 20 days.

Marseille, whose squad had an average age of 27 years and 60 days, decided to take an opposite approach to Les Violets and lean more on experience.

Despite their strategy, OM failed to have a player among the oldest to appear in Ligue 1 this season. The title went to OGC Nice defender Dante, who, at 40 years and 210 days, became the oldest player in the league.
