Jonathan Bamba had a goal and an assist as LOSC pulled into a provisional first place with a 2-1 victory over Girondins de Bordeaux on Sunday evening.

LOSC 2-1 Girondins de Bordeaux

Bamba's namesake Ikoné slipped him in for an early chance although he still had a lot of work to do before curling the opener in off the far post (16'). Bordeaux levelled on the half hour, Toma Basic prodding home after getting on the end of Hatem Ben Arfa's corner (30'), but the hosts were back in front on the stroke of half-time when Jose Fonte headed home a Bamba corner at the other end (45').

Burak Yilmaz (61') and Ikoné (66') both had chances to put the hosts further ahead but Bordeaux never really looked like salvaging a point and it ended 2-1.

Lille pull to the top of the table, for a matter of hours at least, with both Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais able to conclude the weekend at the top of the pile with victory in Sunday's late kick-off.

FC Lorient 3-0 Nîmes Olympique

FC Lorient leapfrogged relegation rivals Nîmes Olympique into 17th with a comprehensive 3-0 win at the Stade du Moustoir.

Quentin Boisgard opened the scoring early on, capping off a fine counter-attack following a Nîmes corner with his first goal for the club (2'). The Bretons pulled further clear just inside the half hour when Pierre-Yves Hamel stroked home a penalty which Laurent Abergel had earned (29').

Second-half substitute Yoane Wissa then added gloss to the scoreline in the final minute (90') and the Bretons, who had been without a goal let alone a win in their previous six Ligue 1 Uber Eats outings, sealed the win 3-0.

RC Strasbourg Alsace 2-2 FC Metz

On the other side of the country, RC Strasbourg played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with their Grand Est neighbours FC Metz.

Visiting Metz carried a 1-0 lead into the break after Dylan Bronn smashed a penalty beyond Eiji Kawashima (35'), but the long-time Japan number one got his revenge soon after the restart, stopping the Metz captain from a second spot-kick (51'). Mohamed Simakan punished the profligacy soon after, heading home Dimitri Liénard's corner at the other end (66').

Opa Nguette (70') and Adrien Thomasson (78') exchanged goals in the final 20 minutes and it ended all square at the Stade de la Meinau.

Stade Brestois 29 2-1 Stade de Reims

Elsewhere, Stade Brestois got back to winning ways, heaping the misery on Stade de Reims with a 2-1 win at the Stade Francis-Le Blé.

The Bretons dominated the first half and took the lead when Franck Honorat steered home a fine long-range effort (30') and they should have been free and clear minutes later when Ronaël Pierre-Gabriel went down under Ghislain Konan in the Reims box, but Steve Mounié's subsequent penalty was saved by Predrag Rajkovic (37').

The home side had their hearts in their mouths when Arber Zeneli restored parity, scoring directly from a corner with a little help from the wind (65'), but Mounié made amends for his earlier miss with an opportunistic strike and Brest won for the fifth time in six league games.

FC Nantes 1-1 Dijon FCO

There was no separating FC Nantes and Dijon FCO, the sides sharing the points in a 1-1 draw at the Stade de la Beaujoire.

The hosts opened the scoring in the first half through Moses Simon's penalty (24') - no less than they deserved - but Dijon returned fire early in the second half when Moussa Konaté latched onto Didier Ndong's through-ball and finished beyond Alban Lafont (56') and it ended all square.
