Paris Saint-Germain secured three points in their 2-0 win over RC Lens on Sunday night at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

RC Lens had the opportunity to go up 1-0 early in the first half when they received a penalty kick Danilo Pereira committed a foul inside the box. However, Gianluigi Donnarumma would stop the shot from Przemysław Frankowski to keep the contest scoreless.

The missed scoring opportunity would proved costly for the hosts, as Bradley Barcola scored the opening goal for the capital club in the 30th minute. Later, in first-half added time, the 21-year-old played a role that led to Jonathan Gradit receiving a red card, forcing Lens to play with ten men for the entire second half.

Lens had to adjust to playing with ten men in the final 45 minutes. Still, the circumstances provided Ecuadorian defender Jhoanner Chávez with an opportunity to make his debut in Ligue 1 for Les Sang et Or.

In the second half, the home team managed 11 shots in total. Despite playing with one less player, Lens had opportunities to level the score. Nevertheless, Kylian Mbappé would record an insurance goal in the 89th minute to ensure PSG left with three points.

PSG looks to carry this momentum in the Coupe de France Round of 32 when Luis Enrique and his squad face third-division side US Orléans. As for Lens, their next game will see them on the road against Toulouse FC on Jan. 28.
