At a meeting on Friday 26 June, 2020 and after taking note of the decisions of the LFP General Assembly of 23 June and the Federal Assembly of 26 June, the LFP Board of Directors has relegated Amiens SC and Toulouse FC to Ligue 2 BKT and confirmed the promotion to Ligue 1 Uber Eats of FC Lorient and RC Lens.

The new general calendar for the 2020-2021 season has also been adopted.

Ligue 1 Uber Eats

In Ligue 1 Uber Eats, the first day of matches of the 2020-21 season is scheduled for the weekend of 22 and 23 August 2020. In connection with UEFA and due to the Europa League and Champions League finals scheduled for respectively August 21 and 23, the fixture for this first matchday may undergo some adjustments to avoid scheduling conflicts.

Five matchdays of Ligue 1 Uber Eats (MD15, MD17, MD18, MD20 and MD23) will take place in midweek.

Matchday 17, scheduled for Wednesday 23 December, 2020, will be the last day of the calendar year before the winter break. The resumption of the championship in 2021 (Matchday 18) will take place in midweek, on Wednesday 6 January, 2021.

The 38th and final Matchday of Ligue 1 Uber Eats for the 2020-21 season has been scheduled for Sunday, 23 May, 2021, with all matches kicking off simultaneously.

The Uber Eats Ligue 1 Playoffs, pitting the 18th-placed team from Ligue 1 Uber Eats against the winner of the Ligue 2 BKT Playoffs, is set for Thursday 27 May (first leg) and Sunday 30 May, 2021 (second leg).

Coupe de la Ligue BKT

The 26th final of the Coupe de la Ligue BKT between Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais, originally scheduled for Saturday 4 April 2020 and postponed due to the health crisis, will be played on Friday 31 July 2020 at 20:45 CET at the Stade de France.
