Mauricio Pochettino has vowed that champions Paris Saint-Germain will play Sunday's Classqiue at Olympique de Marseille as if it were a Champions League final.

MARSEILLE - PSG

(kick-off at 20:00 GMT on Sunday)

Pochettino, a beaten Champions League finalist as Tottenham coach in 2019, takes charge of PSG in a Classique for the first time. PSG are in better spirits following their comprehensive 3-0 victory over Nîmes at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening. PSG head into Round 24 third in the table, behind both Lyon and Lille.

The capital club fell 1-0 to OM on September 13 in an ill-tempered Classique that saw five late red cards. Pochettino said: "Against OM, we'll need to play flat out for 90 minutes, like in a Champions League final. They are always special matches, with a lot of passion. It represents a lot for our supporters and for the players. I'm sad about what is happening at Marseille. I know André Villas-Boas well as we crossed paths at Tottenham. You can never predict what is going to happen in a Classique."

Neymar back from ban

Marco Verratti - suspended anyway against Nîmes - and Abdou Diallo could return from coronavirus, while Marquinhos (groin), Keylor Navas (groin) and Colin Dagba (groin) are all doubtful. Ander Herrera (calf) and Juan Bernat (knee) are definitely out. Neymar is back from suspension.

Nasser Larguet started his spell as OM interim coach with a  2-2 draw at Lens on Wednesday, a match in which OM allowed a 2-0 lead to slip and Arkadiusz Milik marked his first start for the club with a goal.

Larguet told Friday's press conference: "I'm treating the PSG match like a special match as it's the Classique. We need to play well and the players need to enjoy it, those people watching us on TV as well. The players will naturally be motivated. This is our Champions League within the league season.

"In the first half I saw from us at Lens, I saw a team that was generous in its efforts, that advanced, that played and was complementary in quite a lot of moves. We saw that for example with the second goal. I want us to find the same sensations against PSG. If we do that then I think that we'll be able to go on a good run after that."

Larguet: "They are very professional"

It has been a tumultuous time at OM and Larguet admits it has been stressful for his players: "Psychologically and physically they have been shaken up. There have been tough events. In training, and in what I say to them, I try to be close to them. I sense they are very motivated for the upcoming games, not only the PSG match. They are very professional and focused on what awaits them on the pitch."

Valentin Ringier (tendinitis) is struggling, while Jordan Amavi (calf) has been out for nearly two months. New signing Olivier Ntcham is short of match fitness after only 150 minutes of action for former club Celtic since early December. Larguet can count on the returns of Pape Gueye, Leonardo Balerdi, Michael Cuisance and Saïf-Eddine Khaoui from suspension.

Probable Teams:

Marseille: Mandanda; Sakai, Alvaro, Caleta-Car, Nagatomo; Rongier, Kamara, Gueye; Thauvin, Milik, Payet

PSG: Rico; Dagba, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Kurzawa; Paredes, Verratti; Di Maria, Mbappé, Neymar; Icardi
