Reigning Ligue 1 Uber Eats champions and recent Trophée de Champions winners LOSC have signed exciting Belgium midfielder Amadou Onana from Hamburger SV on a five-year deal.

The midfield is in the spotlight at Les Dogues this week! After Xeka struck a magnificent winner in the Trophée des Champions in Tel Aviv on Sunday, the Ligue 1 Uber Eats champs signed Belgian international Amadou Onana, 19, for the next five seasons.

After playing his youth football in Belgium, it was at Hoffenheim that Onana hit the big time. Signing for Hamburg last season, made 26 appearances, 14 as a starter, and his impressive CV also includes the captaincy of the Belgian U21 side.

'Magical moments'

A few days before his 20th birthday, he makes the switch to France and a new league and a new club - a prospect he couldn't be happier about.

"I received a very warm welcome from everyone at the club. I'm really happy to finally be here, at a club with great facilities. What more could you ask for? It's every young player's dream to play in Ligue 1 Uber Eats, at a historic club like LOSC, the reigning French champion, who will be playing Champions League football this season. These are magical moments. Just imagining hearing the anthem gives me chills."

After Eden Hazard and Divock Origi, Amadou Onana joins the club of Belgians to have passed through Lille.
