And Kylian Mbappé takes the lead... the Paris Saint-Germain striker stepped on the gas to take the top spot on the official Ligue 1 Uber Eats assists chart in Round 13 - but the Parisian is not alone at the top, as he shared the lead with Lens wing-back Jonathan Clauss and former leader Moses Simon, both also on six assists.

Mbappé close to his record

In Bordeaux on Saturday, Mbappé hurt Les Girondins' defence by providing two assists - both to Neymar - before scoring in turn. Author of his first double in Ligue 1 Uber Eats since September 27, 2020, the France international overtook Moses Simon and went into top spot thanks to the fact that all six of his assists have come in open play.

With a third of the league season played, the young Parisian is already only two assists away from his record in a Ligue 1 Uber Eats season, achieved in 2016-17 (eight assists with AS Monaco). The player who now has 40 assists in 160 games in the top flight has provided at least five in each of the last six seasons.

Clauss and Simon on the move

Simon, who had been the leader for several weeks, saw another player pass him at the weekend: Jonathan Clauss. The Lens revelation also bagged two assists in Round 13, moving into second place on the assists chart as he helped his side to a masterful 4-0 victory over ESTAC. Now with six assists, including five in open play, Clauss is behind only Kylian Mbappé.

Moses Simon completes the podium. Against RC Strasbourg Alsace, the FC Nantes winger got back to business with his first assist since Round 6. His six assists - a personal best for a single season in the top flight - put him in third place on the assists chart due to the number of assists made in open play (four).

A little further back in the top ten, Benjamin Bourigeaud also did well on Round 13. The Stade Rennais FC midfielder moved up 12 places in the rankings thanks to his corner kick for Gaëtan Laborde in Rennes' opening goal against OL. He is now in eighth place, two points behind the top three.
