Thanks to its international development and the work of its digital teams, the LFP has had more than 20 million followers - and counting! - on its social media platforms since 1 November. This season, the arrival of Lionel Messi in Ligue 1 Uber Eats has been a powerful accelerator.

Four months after the start of the 2021-22 season, the LFP has reached the milestone of 20 million aggregate followers on its platforms (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, Ligue 2 BKT, Ligue de Football Professionnel).

The strongest increases are on TikTok, with a total of 1.8 million followers (+70% vs. July 2020), Twitter, with a total of 2.4 million followers (+51% vs. July 2020) and YouTube (+38% vs. July 2020).

The LFP's audience is growing ever more international, with more than 3.2 million additional followers on social networks in foreign languages (+48% vs. July 2020), i.e. twice as many fans recruited as in France. As a sign of this dynamic, the Weibo, WeChat, Toutiao and Douyin accounts for Chinese fans now have more than 2.2 million followers.

Ligue 1 Uber Eats also appeared this year on Twitch and Helo, one of the main social networks in Indonesia.

This momentum was accelerated by the arrival of Lionel Messi in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. The Argentinian star has enabled the LFP to record its biggest increase on social networks since the creation of all the accounts: +854,000 additional fans in the month of August 2021 alone.

This strong growth on social networks is further proof of the increasing appeal of Ligue 1 Uber Eats in France and internationally. In this buoyant context, the project to create a commercial company, whose priority will be international development and growth in the digital space, will further accelerate this growth.
