Kylian Mbappé once again inspired Paris Saint-Germain, Montpellier and Rennes served up a goal fest and the relegation scrap intensified, with five of the bottom six all avoiding defeat. Check out the action from Round 26 of Ligue 1 Uber Eats here!

PSG bounce back in style

Two goals and an assist from Kylian Mbappé ensured Paris Saint-Germain returned to winning ways with a 3-1 win over Saint-Etienne at the Parc des Princes.

Denis Bouanga put Les Verts in front (16') before goals either side of the interval from Mbappé gave a more familiar look to the score line. Mbappé then turned provider for Danilo to head home a third (52') as PSG moved one-step closer to a tenth Ligue 1 Uber Eats title.

"The start of the game was not good and I must take responsibility for this," said PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino who must now prepare his side for next weekend's trip to third-placed Nice. "We were able to correct some aspects of our game in the second half which was pleasing. The team showed character to turn the score around after falling behind early in the game."

Troyes deny Marseille at the death

Yoann Touzghar equalised in the final minute to earn Troyes a point in a 1-1 draw at home to Marseille.

Dimitri Payet put OM ahead with a penalty (29') but Jorge Sampaoli's side were unable to see the game through when Touzghar popped up to level the score from close range (90').

"I think we controlled the match until Troyes scored,'' said a disappointed Marseille coach Jorge Sampaoli. "It was a very difficult match because we had just returned from a very long trip (Azerbaijan in the Europa Conference League) but despite everything we controlled it well. Unfortunately, they equalised with the last chance of the game."

Goalless at the Meinau

Strasbourg drew 0-0 with ten-man Nice at the Stade de la Meinau.

Nice captain Dante was given his marching orders just after half time but neither side could find a breakthrough.

"A point away from home is never a bad result," said Nice coach Christophe Galtier. "Even more so when you come to Strasbourg, who have one of the best attacks in the league and in Europe overall. Not conceding against this team is a positive for us."

LOSC topple Lyon

A smash and grab performance from LOSC gave them a precious 1-0 win at Lyon in the fight for European qualification.

Gabriel Gudmundsson scored the winner (35') from Xeka's dangerous cross to move the reigning champions into the top half (eighth), whilst Lyon slipped to tenth.

Rennes win six-goal thriller

Rennes put an end to their four-game losing streak on the road after an entertaining 4-2 win at Montpellier.

Goals from Martin Terrier (8') and Benjamin Bourigeaud (15') put the visitors two goals to the good but they were pegged back when Ambroise Oyongo superb finish (19') and a fabulous scissor kick from Elye Wahi (41') got Montpellier on level terms. Second-half goals from Gaëtan Laborde (52') and Lovro Majer (84') ensured Bruno Génésio's side claimed all-three points.

Reims leave it late

Two goals in the final six minutes gave Reims an excellent 2-1 win at Monaco.

The league's top scorer Wissam Ben Yedder notched his 15th strike of the season to fire Monaco ahead (55') but a Kevin Volland own goal (84') and an injury-time winner from Nathanael Mbuku gave Oscar Garcia's men maximum points.

Clauss bags winner for Lens

Lens came from behind to beat Angers 2-1 at the Stade Raymond Kopa.

Two goals in three-frantic minutes from a Batista Mendy own goal (73') and Jonathan Clauss (76') wiped out Angelo Fulgini's earlier goal for the hosts (49'). Angers are on a five-game losing streak whilst Lens moved up to sixth on the table.

Points shared in relegation scrap

Clermont and Bordeaux drew 1-1 in an entertaining basement battle at the Stade Gabriel Montpied.

Joshua Guilavogui headed Les Girondins in front (13') before Clermont salvaged a point  when Elbasan Rashani volleyed his side level (32'). Bordeaux remain bottom of the pile, whilst Clermont stay six-points clear of the drop zone in 15th.

Lorient snatch late winner

Ibrahima Koné's winner gave Lorient a 1-0 win at Breton neighbours Brest. Koné struck 17 minutes from time to lift Les Merlus out of the bottom three and into 16th place.

Goalless at Metz

Metz and Nantes played out a goalless draw at the Stade Saint-Symphorien in a game that saw Vincent Pajot dismissed late on for the hosts. Metz move up to 18th, whilst Nantes drop to seventh on the table.
