Kylian Mbappé's strike in Paris Saint-Germain's 5-0 mauling of Auxerre handed him top spot in the scoring charts, as Ligue 1 Uber Eats takes a back seat ahead of the World Cup

Mbappé opened the scoring for the league leaders in what turned out to be a comfortable afternoon for Christophe Galtier's men. The 23-year-old's quick reactions earned himself his 12th goal of the season to edge ahead of team-mate Neymar in the race to be top scorer.

Moffi on fire

Terem Moffi continued his impressive goal scoring form by netting in Lorient's 1-1 draw at Strasbourg.

Moffi added to last weekend's strike against PSG by firing Lorient in front against Julien Stéphan's strugglers. The Nigerian international has now scored ten goals this season despite a spell on the sidelines through injury.

Alexandre Lacazette was on target once again as Lyon salvaged a late 1-1 draw at home to Nice. The 31-year-old slotted home an 89th-minute penalty to take his season tally to nine goals.

Alexis Sanchez netted for the seventh time this season and it was arguably the best of the lot.

The Chilean curled in a fabulous free-kick to break the deadlock for Marseille in their 3-2 win against Monaco.

Lens winger Wesley Saïd netted his fifth goal of the season in a 2-1 win at home to Toulouse. Saïd netted for the second-consecutive week to help his side cement their place as the closest title challengers to leaders PSG.

Until next time..

The race for the prize of top scorer takes a back seat as Ligue 1 Uber Eats' stars jet off to Qatar for the World Cup.

But an intriguing race will continue in when the top flight resumes again in late December and if the first half of the season is anything to go by, then it should be exciting viewing to see who comes out on top.
