Champions League

Group stage:
Paris Saint-Germain (first in the 2021-22 season) and Olympique de Marseille (second)

For an 11th consecutive season, Paris Saint-Germain will take part in the group stage of the Champions League, the draw for which will take place on 25 August (PSG are in the first hat). The 2021-22 French champions will be joined by OM, who are returning to a competition they won in 1993. Marseille will be participating in the competition for the second time in three seasons and the tenth time since 1999-00.

Third qualifying round (league route): AS Monaco (third)

Like last season, AS Monaco finished the campaign in third place on the Ligue 1 Uber Eats table, qualifying them for the next Champions League. The players from the principality will have two qualifying rounds to go through in order to book a place in the group stage: the third qualifying round (2-3 and 9 August), for which the draw will be made on 18 July, and the play-offs, which will be played a week later (from 16 August).

Europa League

Group stage: FC Nantes (Coupe de France winner) and Stade Rennais FC (fourth)

In addition to FC Nantes, who qualified via their Coupe de France victory, Stade Rennais will also represent France in the next edition of the Europa League. The Bretons finished the season with the highest-ever number of points (66), wins (20) and goals (82) in a single season in club history. In 2022-23, Rennes will compete in a European competition for the fifth consecutive season. For Kombouaré's Nantes, it is a return to European level, 21 years after they contested the Champions League back in 2001-02.

Both clubs are due to be drawn in the group stage on 26 August, with the competition starting on Thursday 8 September 2022.

Europa Conference League

Play-offs: OGC Nice (fifth)

OGC Nice, who amassed the season's second-best defensive record (just 36 goals conceded), have secured a fourth European qualification in seven years. Les Aiglons will begin their European journey in 2022-23 on 18 and 25 August with the play-offs, following the draw on 1 August 2022. If they qualify, Nice will go straight into the group stage.
