Khéphren Thuram has earned his first France call-up after impressing with OGC Nice, and is joined in Didier Deschamps' set-up by his big brother Marcus.

Thuram has had a fine 24 hours, earning his first France call-up before helping Nice into the UEFA Europa Conference League quarter-finals with a 3-1 win over Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday.

Jean-Clair Todibo, who led the team out against Sheriff with Dante suspended, was tipped for selection too, but he narrowly missed out.

"It's a childhood dream to be selected with my brother, but it must be stronger for my parents," Thuram reflected on being chose alongside Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus.

"We were eating. I was on my phone and we all looked at the list with my teammates. They were very, very happy for me. We were all a little disappointed for Jean-Clair Todibo, but he was very happy for me, he gave me a lot of hugs. I thank him very much."

Khéphren and Marcus are the sons of France's record appearance maker Lilian Thuram, who retired in 2008 with 142 caps to his name. Although they grew up playing together, they have yet to play in the same team.

"Never," Thuram answered when asked if that had happened. "We played in the garden together. We played in the same clubs, but never in the same team. I hope it can be done. It would be something great."
