Paris Saint-Germain defender Nuno Mendes has been ruled out for the rest of season 2022-23, the Portugal international having sustained a thigh injury in the shock defeat to Lorient in Round 33.
"The victim of a right hamstring injury during the last game, against Lorient, Nuno Mendes will not resume competition before the end of the season," Paris Saint-Germain announcecd in a medical update on Wednesday.
Nuno Mendes came off the bench against Lorient - a match the capital club lost 3-1 at the Parc des Princes - but was forced off the field before time with a 'muscle injury' as coach Christophe Galtier explained after the match.

Mendes had missed PSG's previous match, the win over Angers, still struggling with a thigh injury (the other thigh) picked up during the World Cup in Qatar, and returned to competition only at the end of January.
The list of PSG players who will not play again this season has thus grown to four following the announcements concerning Neymar, Presnel Kimpembe and Nordi Mukiele.
