The abandoned Ligue 1 Uber Eats Round 8 match between Montpellier and Clermont has been rescheduled for 29 November at 19:00.
In response to the Disciplinary Committee's decision of 25 October 2023 - to replay the Ligue 1 Uber Eats match between Montpellier Hérault SC and Clermont Foot 63 behind closed doors - the LFP's Competitions Committee has decided to reschedule the match Round 8 clash for Wednesday 29 November at 19:00. The match will be broadcast on Prime Video.
The match had made it almost all of the way to the end - Montpellier were up 4-2 in the first minute of second-half stoppage time - when a firework thrown from a stand of Montpellier fans exploded near Clermont 'keeper Mory Diaw.
Given the seriousness of the events, the Disciplinary Committee also opted to impose a one-point penalty on Montpellier, who now sit 11th on 11 points ahead of Friday's Ligue 1 Uber Eats Round 11 trip to the Parc des Princes to face Paris Saint-Germain, while Clermont remain - for now - second from bottom heading into their trip to Strasbourg on Sunday afternoon.
