Three Ligue 1 clubs will be in UEFA Europa League action on Thursday, with Olympique de Marseille and Stade Rennais already in the knockout stage and Toulouse FC looking to punch their ticket.

Rennes and Toulouse will kick off the action for the French clubs in the early slate of fixtures. Rennes start by facing Villarreal CF on Matchday 6 at Roazhon Park. Both sides are already through to the knockout round, but their contest will decide who finishes first and second in the group.

Heading into the matchup, Rennes sits atop the group with 12 points; meanwhile, the Spanish club is right behind them with 10 points. A draw or a win for Les Rouge et Noirs sees them topping Group F.

In Group E, Toulouse haven't clinched second place behind Liverpool FC yet, but are in a favorable position when they travel to Raiffeisen Arena to face LASK. A draw, win, or Royale Union Saint-Gilloise loss will see them advance.

Nonetheless, if Toulouse loses and the Belgian side beats Liverpool, then the goal differential will play a role in the tiebreaker. Still, the odds are good for Les Violets to move past the group stage.

Finally, one of the marquee matchups of Matchday 6 will be Marseille traveling to American Express Stadium for a matchup with Brighton & Hove Albion. The two teams are already through to the knockout stage, but this match will decide who finishes first and second.

Marseille sits atop the group heading into this final matchday with 11 points, and Brighton have 10. So for the French side, all they need is a draw or win to top the group, and with their recent form, especially from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, it's a doable task.

Outside the Europa League, Lille OSC is representing Ligue 1 in the UEFA Conference League. Les Dogues are through to the knockout stage and all that the final matchday against Klaksvíkar Ítróttarfelag will determine is whether they finish first or second in the group.
