In the latest installment of Le Classique, Paris Saint-Germain will be traveling to the Stade Vélodrome to face Olympique de Marseille.

The Parisians are heading into this matchup having won their last two matches, one in the Coupe de France over OGC Nice and another in Ligue 1 over Montpellier HSC. As for OM, they hit a hurdle going into the FIFA international break.

After winning the first five matches under new manager Jean-Louis Gasset, Marseille have lost their last two games. Les Phocéens will look to end their slide against their eternal rival and get back to winning ways.

OM will need Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to start scoring goals again to turn their situation around as the veteran striker scored eight goals during Marseille's five-game win streak. He hasn't found the back of the net during this two-game losing streak, so his contribution will be crucial for the team.

Kylian Mbappé is in good form for PSG, having come off a hat-trick performance for the capital club in their 6-2 win over Montpellier before heading into the international break.

This latest edition of Le Classique will be a warm-up for PSG who will have a Coupe de France semifinal contest on Wednesday against Stade Rennais, so Luis Enrique and his team aim to head into that game on a winning note.

PSG sit comfortably atop Ligue 1 with a ten-point gap between them and second-place AS Monaco, but Marseille are currently on the outside looking in for a European competition spot for next season. Gasset and his team cannot begin to drop points, understanding how tight the race is for the coveted spots.
