Ahead of Ligue 1 Conforama champions PSG's clash with Coupe de France holders Stade Rennais in the 24th edition of the competition on Saturday, 3 August in Shenzhen - check out the main Trophée des Champions records.

57,000 spectators is the competition's highest-ever attendance - a feat achieved when OM took in PSG in the Radès, Tunisia in 2010. Since it has been staged abroad, the Trophée des Champions has attracted an average of 36,000 spectators.

1 Hatem Ben Arfa is the fastest scorer in the history of the Trophée des Champions, thanks to his first-minute goal for OL in 2005.

3 Three players have managed to score a hat-trick in the Trophée des Champions: Sidney Govou in 2002, with OL against FC Lorient; John Carew with OL in 2005 against AJ Auxerre; and André Ayew with OM against LOSC in 2011.

4 The top scorer in the history of the Trophée des Champions is Sidney Govou, who scored four times in two games.

4 A scorer after only four minutes one the field in 2002, Peguy Luyindula (OL) is the fastest scorer off the bench, ahead of Hervin Ongenda (PSG) who scored after just eight minutes on the pitch in Gabon in 2013.

4 By imposing a 4-0 defeat on AS Monaco in the last edition, Paris Saint-Germain equalled the biggest goal difference in the competition 16 years after OL trounced AJ Auxerre (5-1).

The only coach to have won the trophy with two different clubs (Girondins and PSG), Laurent Blanc is also the only coach with five wins and is ahead of Paul Le Guen (three titles with OL).

With six wins in PSG's jersey, Marco Verratti is the player with the most Trophée des Champions titles.

In 23 editions, the Trophée des Champions has seen six different winners: Olympique Lyonnais, Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco, FC Nantes, FC Girondins de Bordeaux and Olympique de Marseille.

6 With six appearances, Grégory Coupet (five with OL and one with PSG), Anthony Réveillère (6 with OL) and Marco Verratti (6 with PSG) hold the record for the number of appearances at the Trophée des Champions.

8 By winning the 2018 Trophée des Champions, Paris Saint-Germain became the most successful club in the competition (eight wins), ahead of OL (seven).

11 For the 11th consecutive year, the Trophée des Champions is being held abroad, and for the third time in China: in 2014, the event was held in Beijing, and in 2018, as is the case this year, in Shenzhen. In total, since 2009, seven different countries (Canada, Tunisia, Morocco, United States, Gabon, China and Austria), from four continents (North America, Africa, Asia and Europe) have hosted the Trophée des Champions.

70% Created in 1995, this match between the champion and the winner of the Coupe de France has gone in favour of the league champions on 16 occasions - 70% of the time - and only once in the last five editions has the title not gone to the defending champion. In total, the title has been taken by the Coupe de France winners (who were not also the league champions) on five occasions, including PSG in 2017. When the same club wins the league and the Coupe de  France, which was the case in 2008, 2011 and between 2015 and 2018, it is the Ligue 1 Conforama runners-up who take on the Coupe winners - and these runners-up have a perfectly even record of three wins and three defeats.

15 In 23 editions, the Trophée des Champions has had 15 different clubs participating. Paris Saint-Germain is the club with the highest number of participants (12), while Stade Rennais will be making their first appearance in the competition.

21 Paris Saint-Germain have the best attacking record, with 21 goals scored in 11 appearances thanks to Angel Di Maria, Zlatan Ibrahimovic (2), Alex, Dani Alves, Serge Aurier, Hatem Ben Arfa, Edinson Cavani, Youri Djorkaeff, Fabrice Fiorèse, Layvin Kurzawa, Yann Lachuer, Lucas Moura, Christopher Nkunku, Pascal Nouma, Hervin Ongenda, Javier Pastore, Adrien Rabiot, Jérôme Rothen and Timothy Weah (1).

73 In 23 editions, there have been 73 goals scored - an average of 3.17 goals per Trophée des Champions. The 2011 edition in Tangier was the most prolific, with nine goals scored in a legendary clash between OM and LOSC (5-4). The first halves have been the more prolific in terms of goals, with 38 strikes compared to 35 in the second period.

65% of the time, the team who scored first in goes on to claim gold in the Trophée des Champions. However, in the last eight editions, four clubs have managed to reverse the trend after conceding the opening goal. The latest to lose after leading 1-0 were AS Monaco in Tangier in 2017 (1-2), with PSG scoring a comeback win for a second time since 2013.

70% Since it has been held abroad (2009), the Trophée des Champions has had a 70% attendance rate.

319 In 2016, Paris Saint-Germain broke Girondins de Bordeaux' unbeaten record in the competition (261 minutes), managing not to concede a goal for 319 minutes in the Trophée des Champions. Before Bordeaux, FC Nantes had held the record (197 minutes).
