Paris Saint-Germain’s Lee Kang-in is a relative newcomer to Ligue 1, and the South Korean native has quickly established himself as a rising star. Learn more about the midfielder as he celebrates his 23rd birthday today.

In July 2011, Lee became a part of Valencia's academy and made his first team debut in December 2017. The midfielder would go on to make 62 appearances in all competitions while scoring three goals and registering four assists.

During the 2019-20 season at Valencia, Lee achieved a historic milestone by making his UEFA Champions League debut against Chelsea. At the age of 18 years and 6 months, he became the youngest South Korean ever to debut in the competition, surpassing the previous record held by Jeong Woo-yeong.

Joining RCD Mallorca marked a turning point for Lee, where he thrived with 73 appearances across various competitions, scoring seven goals and providing ten assists.

Lee made a significant move last summer, departing Spain to join PSG, where he has already showcased impressive performances in the French capital. In an interview with PSG's official website last July, he revealed the mindset that he's bringing to the Parisians.

"I've got a lot of desire and a thirst to win. I'm here to help the team as a whole, with the aim of helping the team to win."

This mindset clarifies Lee's consistent presence in crucial moments for the capital club. The ex-Valencia player notched a goal against AC Milan in the Champions League and also contributed to the Trophée des Champions victory over Toulouse FC.

Ligue 1 is the league of talents, and Lee is a player to watch out for as his career at PSG continues to develop.
