Kylian Mbappé has brushed off questions regarding his future with Paris Saint-Germain with the France captain telling media he is focussed on Les Bleus for their remaining UEFA EURO 2024 qualifiers.

In a turbulent summer, Mbappé, whose club contract expires in the summer, was initially frozen out of the PSG squad after refusing to sign an extension.

The 24-year-old has since returned with a bang, scoring 13 times in 11 Ligue 1 Uber Eats appearances to help Luis Enrique's men to the top of the table and move himself into pole position in the French top-flight's scoring charts.

"That's absolutely nothing to do with the France team. I am determined to be a player of the France national team during these ten days," he told media when asked about his future.

"If you have that question, you should come and as me it at the [PSG] Campus and I'll answer it if I'm brought into the press conference."

Mbappé will lead the team out against Gibraltar at Nice's Allianz Riviera on Saturday and could well do the same in Greece on Tuesday as Didier Deschamps' men look to wrap up their qualifying campaign by picking up the two points that will ensure them top seeding in the draw for the final tournament in Germany next summer.

Mbappé, who is one of the youngest players to have pulled on the France shirt having made his debut just past his 18th birthday, could be joined in the starting XI by Warren Zaïre-Emery, his PSG teammate who is set to become the youngest post-war debutant and the third youngest of all-time aged 17 years, eight months and 11 days.

"He's fascinating. Very mature. He plays with a lot of characters. He's a modern midfielder who isn't afraid to go up the pitch with the ball. We're here to accompany him. I don't have any advice to give him, because he's going to learn by himself when he makes mistakes," said Mbappé.

"It's refreshing to have him in the team. He's the same age as my little brother. He's doing his homework, it's just insane! We want him to be himself, our mission is to protect him."
