During a busy day of international football, with matches in both AFCON and the Asian Cup, we take a look at the contributions of Ligue 1 players.


Guinea-Bissau faced Equatorial Guinea in a Group A clash, featuring Fali Candé (FC Metz) and Mama Baldé (Olympique Lyonnais) as starters. Despite their efforts, Guinea-Bissau suffered a 4-2 defeat.


In Group A of AFCON, Ivory Coast encountered Nigeria, with Wilfried Singo (AS Monaco) coming in as a substitute. Oumar Diakité of Stade de Reims also entered the game, but Ivory Coast succumbed to a 1-0 defeat. Moses Simon (FC Nantes) made an impact as a substitute for Nigeria.

Meanwhile, in the Asian Cup's Group B, Abdukodir Khusanov (RC Lens) was a starter for Uzbekistan in their commanding 3-0 victory against India.
