Paris Saint-Germain secured a 2-0 road win over Olympique de Marseille on Sunday night at the Stade Vélodrome in the latest installment of Le Classique.

It was a scoreless first 45 minutes between the two rivals as Marseille generated six total shots and PSG countered with four total shots. The marquee moment in the first half came in the 40th minute when Lucas Beraldo received a red card for his foul on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Parisians were down to ten men for the final minutes of the first half and the entire second half. Despite being a man down, PSG would open the scoring in the 53rd minute thanks to a goal from Vitinha.

OM responded to the visitors' goal, but the goal was disallowed, enabling Luis Enrique and his team to keep their 1-0 lead over Les Phocéens. Marseille took advantage of having the man advantage for 45 minutes, registering 16 total shots and nine of them going on target, but the goal never came.

Marseille's failure to capitalize on scoring opportunities ended up costing them dearly. PSG secured a crucial insurance goal in the 85th minute courtesy of Gonçalo Ramos, allowing the Parisians to seal the road win.

Gianluigi Donnarumma played a major role in helping PSG keep a clean sheet. The Italian goalkeeper made ten saves to deny Jean-Louis Gasset and his team any chance of scoring a goal. PSG's attention now turns to Stade Rennais in the Coupe de France semifinal on Wednesday.

After this loss to PSG, Marseille face a major challenge since Gasset became manager in February as they've lost their last three matches. OM looks to end this losing streak when they head out on the road to face LOSC Lille on Friday.
