OGC Nice take top spot! Led by players like Amine Gouiri and Khéphren Thuram, Les Aiglons have the lowest average age in Ligue 1 Uber Eats this season (23 years and 190 days). In their victory over OM last Saturday (3-0), for example, Nice fielded seven players aged 22 or under in their starting line-up. The second youngest team in the league? Stade de Reims (24 years and 188 days).
The youth of Monaco and Lille, the experience of MHSC
League leaders PSG are one of the most experienced teams in the top flight, with the 15th-oldest average age this season (just under 27 years). Conversely, the three other teams ranked in the championship's top four after 30 rounds are among the youngest: AS Monaco are 3rd (24 years and 350 days), just ahead of LOSC (25 years and 3 days). Olympique Lyonnais are the league's sixth-youngest team.
Meanwhile, only one team has an average age of over 28 years: Montpellier Hérault SC, the oldest team in the league, with its central defensive pairing of Vitorino Hilton (43) and Daniel Congré (almost 36) nudging them into elder statesman status.
