Dante, Hamouma, Fonte, Mandanda... Ligue 1 Uber Eats's old heads are still doing the business! Check out out which experienced players have stood out in Ligue 1 Uber Eats since the start of the season.

Dante returned to Ligue 1 Uber Eats six years ago to bring his experience to OGC Nice and continues to guide the Nice dressing room year after year. After the arrival of Lucien Favre in the summer, the Brazilian defender remains a vital part of Les Aiglons, with whom he has not missed a minute of the first eight games this season. At 38 years and 335 days, the former Bayern Munich man is the oldest player to have played in our league this season.

He is 66 days older than José Fonte, the only other player over 38 to have played in the top flight this season (38 years and 269 days). Like Dante at Nice, the Portuguese captain of LOSC has also played the entirety of the first eight games, proving his importance in the system of newcomer Paulo Fonseca.

The third player on the podium (37 years and 174 days) - and first goalkeeper in the ranking - Steve Mandanda continues to show his qualities in Ligue 1 Uber Eats after his move from OM to Stade Rennais. He is the number one goalkeeper for Bruno Genesio, despite an injury sustained in August.

Among the clubs most represented in this top ten, AC Ajaccio top the list with three players (Nouri, Coutadeur, Avinel), ahead of OGC Nice and their two representatives (Dante and Schmeichel).

Experienced strikers at Ajaccio

During the summer transfer window, AC Ajaccio recruited several experienced players who are no strangers to Ligue 1 Uber Eats. This is reflected in the ranking of the oldest scorers this season; the promoted Corsican side boasts the two oldest players to have scored in the league this season. Romain Hamouma is the oldest, having scored at the age of 35 years and 173 days at Brest in Round 8. It was his 62nd goal in the top flight, and he has scored in 13 different seasons in Ligue 1 Uber Eats. Only four players have done more in the top flight in the 21st century: Jimmy Briand (17 seasons), Dimitri Payet, Souleymane Camara and Mathieu Bodmer (15).

In the ranking of the oldest scorers this season, he is a few days ahead of his partner Thomas Mangani. The midfielder scored his 27th league goal on the opening day at Lyon, aged 35 years and 98 days old. He is just one day ahead of Kévin Gameiro (RC Strasbourg Alsace) and 12 ahead of Lionel Messi (PSG).

Fifth in the ranking, Johan Gastien has made a name for himself this season by becoming, at 34 years and 236 days, the oldest player to score his first Ligue 1 Uber Eats goal since Sergio Ramos (35 years and 299 days during PSG-Reims, on 23 January 2022). The Clermont Foot midfielder found the net for the first time in the top flight in his 55th game - and with his 33rd attempted shot.
