Paris Saint-Germain cruised to a 3-0 win over Patrick Vieira’s Strasbourg side at teh Parc des Princes on Saturday afternoon. Whilst Les Parisiens were efficient in front of goal against a struggling Strasbourg defence, manager Luis Enrique was pleased more with the defensive effort of his two forwards, in what was a switched-up PSG formation.

His side cruised to a comfortable win over Strasbourg, yet Luis Enrique was pleased with his side's attacking display in the build-up to Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League clash against AC Milan on Wednesday. However, he decided to praise his forwards' defensive work in his post-match press conference.

"We're dangerous all over the pitch, which is a win for the team. You talk about four attackers, but I could say five, six, or eight offensive players," said the former Barcelona manager. "You could think there were four or five attackers on the pitch. Vitinha played on the wing, and Carlos Soler was there too. When we have the ball, everyone becomes an attacker. Players like Gonçalo Ramos, Kolo Muani, and Asensio are forwards and defenders when they don't have the ball. They adapt to my style of play."

"When I see Gonçalo or even Kylian dropping back to help the team, it sends shivers down my spine. It creates an energy that is truly spectacular and something I've been looking for."

A Barcola-Mbapppé partnership growing?

As focus switches for the French capital club to AC Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday, Enrique faces the challenge of maintaining balance in the squad. He has experimented with Bradley Barcola in the forward position and Kang-in Lee in midfield against Strasbourg. When asked about the Barcola-Mbappé partnership, Enrique remarked, "We're getting to know players who have had limited playing time this season, like Bradley, Lee, and Fabian Ruiz. Giving them playing time also helps them get to know each other and makes us more unpredictable."
