In a Ligue 1 Uber Eats season finale that promises to be as exciting as it is open, ligue1.com breaks down the criteria on which any ties in the standings will be broken.

The various criteria for breaking ties in the standings could be used at the end of the season. Article 518 of the 2020-21 regulations sets them out as follows:

1. Overall goal difference:
In the event of a tie on points, the ranking of the tied clubs shall be determined by the difference between the goals scored and the goals conceded by each of them during the matches played over the season.

2. Most points in head-to-head matches:
Should the teams still be tied, advantage will be given to the club having scored the most points in the matches played between them.

3. Head-to-head goal difference:
Should the teams still be tied, the clubs will be decided on the basis of goal difference in the matches played between them.

4. Most goals in direct confrontations:

Should the teams still be tied, the club having scored the most goals in the matches played between them will be given advantage.

5. Most away goals in direct confrontations:

Should the teams still be tied, the club having scored the most away goals in the matches played between them shall be given advantage.

6. Best overall attack:

Should the teams still be tied, advantage will be given to the club that has scored the most goals in the entire Uber Eats League 1 championship.

7. Best away attack (overall):
Should the teams still be tied, advantage will be given to the club having scored the most away goals over the entire Uber Eats League 1 Championship.

8. Disciplinary tie-breaker:

In the event of the most persistent tie in the history of the league, the LFP will decide between the clubs according to their respective disciplinary records: yellow card = one point; red card = three points
