It's a record season for Hamari Traoré! In a Stade Rennais side with the second-best attack in the league (69 goals), the right-back has already provided eight assists, by far his best performance in a Ligue 1 Uber Eats season. He now sits in sixth place on the official assists chart - in a Top 10 that features no fewer than four Rennes players!

On Friday evening, the Mali international set up Flavien Tait to open the Round 32 scoring by placing a cross on the midfielder's head in the third minute of play. The defender thus bagged his fourth assist in seven games, which is as many as in his previous 20. Now with eight assists, he has smashed his previous record (four), which dated back to 2019-20. He now has 18 assists in 186 top flight appearances.

Kevin Volland also improves his record

Another player to push his limits this season is Kevin Volland, who moved up to twelfth place in the table with his sixth assist, against Rennes. The German international, who provided four assists in his first season in France, has already done better after 32 games with Monaco this season. As is often the case, it was Wissam Ben Yedder whom he teed up for the decisive goal: the former Toulouse man has converted four assists from his German teammate this season, while Myron Boadu and Sofiane Diop have also benefitted from the former Bayer Leverkusener's largesse.
