OL announced on Friday the arrival of striker Saïd Benrahma on loan with an option to buy.
After obtaining all the documents needed to validate the deal, Lyon have confirmed that Saïd Benrahma has arrived on loan until the end of the season. "The £5.1m (around €6m) loan deal comes with an option to buy at £12.3m (around €14.4m) and a 10% share of any capital gains in the event of a future transfer," explained the Rhone club.
A return to Ligue 1 Uber Eats
Following in the footsteps of Malick Fofana and Gift Orban, OL have now acquired a third player capable of making a difference up front. Benrahma started out at OGC Nice before spells at Angers SCO, Gazélec Ajaccio and Châteauroux. The 28-year-old Algerian international then burst onto the English scene: he made a name for himself in the Championship with Brentford before moving to the Premier League with West Ham. Having scored 15 goals and provided 16 assists in 110 games in the English top flight, the versatile striker has now crossed the Channel to join Ligue 1 Uber Eats. He will wear number 17 in the for Lyon.
