Ligue 1 players showcased their skills on the international stage this Sunday, representing their respective national teams in AFCON. Here's a summary of the action.

Morocco and DR Congo battled to a 1-1 draw in Group F, showcasing skill, determination, and a display of top-notch football. The match featured standout performances from players representing Ligue 1 clubs.


The Moroccan goal came from Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain) who showcased his attacking ability by finding the back of the net for Morocco, marking his third goal at an Africa Cup of Nations. Olympique de Marseille were well-represented in the Moroccan lineup, with Azzedine Ounahi earning a starting spot. Another player from Marseille, Amine Harit, made an impact as a substitute.


On the other side, DR Congo featured Gedeon Kalulu from FC Lorient, providing stability from the start. Chancel Mbemba of Marseille showcased his defensive prowess in the backline, while Samuel Moutoussamy of FC Nantes started in midfield for DR Congo.

In Group E, South Africa, currently holding the second position, and will next go head-to-head with Tunisia, who are the bottom. Simultaneously, Namibia, in third place, are set to challenge group leaders Mali in the last round of the group stage.
