Paris Saint-Germain fell 3-2 to FC Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes.

In the first half, Barcelona took ten shots and came close to scoring with a header from Robert Lewandowski off a corner kick. Gianluigi Donnarumma's mistimed attempt to go after the ball left an open net, but Nuno Mendes arrived just in time to clear the ball and save PSG from conceding.

Despite not conceding at that point, PSG would give up the first goal as Donnarumma again mistimed his attempt when going after the ball, allowing Barcelona to score thanks to a goal from Raphinha in the 37th minute.

Both teams exploded offensively after one goal in the first 45 minutes, as PSG scored two goals in two minutes. Ousmane Dembélé scored against his former club in the 48th minute to level the scoring and then the capital club took a 2-1 lead through Vitinha, but Barcelona would respond.

In the 62nd minute, Raphinha leveled the scoring at 2-2 to register his brace. Then, 15 minutes later, Andreas Christensen scored off a header to allow Barcelona to score two unanswered goals of their own to take a 3-2 lead.

The second leg will prove to be thrilling as PSG attempt to overcome a 3-2 aggregate deficit in Barcelona next Tuesday.
